Fighters of the repair and restoration units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have streamlined the restoration, repair and modernization of captured equipment. They carefully study samples of combat vehicles from NATO countries. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The department added that repairmen most often change the chassis, caterpillar tracks, and engines of equipment that has been damaged. In addition, fighters check communication, electrical wiring, and loading mechanisms. After repair, it is sent to service.
Tactical and technical characteristics, protection and control systems are being studied.
Then the combat vehicles of NATO countries are sent to the research institutes of the Ministry of Defense of Russia for analysis.
