Mobile Gas Analyzer for Soils Developed in Novosibirsk

The device can analyze 5-6 types of gases, air and soil humidity

A device for determining the concentration of gases in the soil has been created at Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU). This was reported by the press service of the university.

The first sample of the gas analyzer is already ready for operation.

Air is pumped out of the plants, and an analysis is carried out using a system of gas sensors. With the help of the same system, the temperature and humidity of the air are controlled, and all this information is transmitted for processing, including to IT specialists, and subsequently recommendations are given on growing plants and using fertilizers.

The device is equipped with chemiresistive sensors and infrared sensors. Due to this, the device is capable of analyzing five to six types of gases. The analyzer also assesses air and soil humidity.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that a new Russian Arctic gas analyzer has been developed.
