A scientific production center for electric drive technology is planned to open in Novosibirsk, based on the joint-stock company "Production Association (PA) \"Sever\"", which is part of Rosatom. This initiative aims to address the task set by the President of Russia to meet the needs of the army.
At a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev, the General Director of PA "Sever" announced plans to produce a line of engines for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that should surpass some foreign counterparts. The development was presented to the Deputy Prime Minister.
It is emphasized that specific proposals for the creation of the Scientific Production Center for Electric Drive Technology have already been prepared, but the timing of their implementation is not specified. Attention is focused on the importance of using the developments of PA "Sever" specialists, as well as on stable partnerships with Siberian scientists and the developed experimental research base of the plant to achieve the set goals.
JSC "Production Association \"Sever\"" has been operating since 1955 and is a multidisciplinary scientific and production complex engaged in the development and production of various products in the field of radio electronics and precision mechanics. The company also provides state defense orders and the needs of the fuel and energy complex.
