According to a survey by the financial marketplace "Sravni," 66% of Russians have heard of cryptocurrency, but do not understand its essence. At the same time, only 21% of respondents have experience with cryptocurrency.
Analysts conducted a study to find out how familiar Russians are with cryptocurrency and how actively they use it. It turned out that 16% of respondents had never heard of cryptocurrency at all, and 18% stated that they understood this tool in detail.
The majority of Russians (79%) have never used cryptocurrency, but 15% plan to try it in the future. Of those who have already tried cryptocurrency, 63% did so out of curiosity, 19% use it for investments or savings, and 6% used it for transfers.
Currently, 89% of respondents do not own cryptocurrency, and among those who use it, only 6% hold less than 10% of their savings in cryptocurrency.
