Panacea for BECs: Expert suggests using FPV drones against boats in the Black Sea instead of Kh-38MT and Kh-39 LMUR missiles

Damantsev pointed out the economic feasibility of this approach

To intercept low-observable unmanned boats in the Black Sea, the Russian military needs to start using strike FPV drones. This point of view was expressed by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.

In his opinion, this method will be the most economically feasible and safe. The analyst suggested delivering strike drones with a heavy UAV carrier, which will also act as a signal repeater.

Currently, during the interception of low-observable strike unmanned boats "Magura-V5", the crews of the Su-30SM naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy still use either the GSh-301 aircraft automatic cannon or FAB-250 high-explosive bombs, which requires approaching the target at a distance of 3500 - 2500 and 5000 - 2500 m, respectively. In the latter case, the interception will occur at a distance of 30 - 40 km from the coast.

He named another priority method the use of more expensive 2.2-Mach Kh-38MT tactical missiles with a range of up to 70 km against BECs, or the adaptation of Su-30SM weapon control systems to the use of Kh-39 LMUR tactical missiles with a range of 14 km.

Earlier it became known that the Russian Armed Forces received new sniper rifles from the Lobaev Arms brand.
