Yandex is selling its telemedicine business, which operates under the brand "Yandex Health". The buyer is Genotek, a company specializing in genetic research.
Since 2016, Yandex has been conducting experimental developments in the field of telemedicine. Now, the company will hand over the mobile application and web interface of "Yandex Health", and will also allow Genotek to use the service's trademark for a year and a half. The amount of the transaction is not disclosed.
At the same time, Yandex itself notes that, despite the sale of "Health", the company will continue to pay special attention to the development and improvement of services related to medicine and health. In particular, this concerns the search for doctors and the use of neural networks in medical practice.
"Yandex Health" is a service that allows you to get online consultations from experienced specialists in the fields of medicine, psychology, and veterinary medicine.
