Russia plans to launch unmanned trucks. The driver will be in the back seat. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Dmitry Bakanov.
According to Dmitry Bakanov, 22 unmanned trucks are currently transporting goods along the M-11 Neva highway in experimental mode. By the end of the year, their number will increase.
To date, over 330 thousand cubic meters of cargo have been transported and more than 3 million kilometers have been traveled. We started with 3, by the end of the year there will be 43.
The launch of new unmanned trucks is scheduled for September 23 this year in Moscow. It will take place as part of the second international forum "Digital Transportation".
