The popular website builder Wix has announced that "due to new rules", which come into force on September 12, it will no longer provide services to residents of Russia.
In accordance with the new rules, we are obliged to restrict access to Wix services for residents of Russia from September 12, 2024, and block their accounts. From this date, you will no longer be able to access your Wix account or any services we provide. In connection with the new rules, we are obliged to block and restrict access to all Wix accounts, both free and premium accounts.
After blocking a Wix account, all sites belonging to the account holder will be removed from publication. This does not depend on whether the Russian resident had a free or premium account.
However, Wix gives you a chance to save your data. Until September 12, you can transfer your domain from the builder to another domain registrar or to another hosting.
