The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that in 2023 the agency recorded 677,000 IT crimes. From January to July, 437,000 frauds and thefts were committed.
Damage for the past year amounted to 156 billion rubles, for the current period the damage amounted to 99 billion rubles - this is for seven months of this year.
According to him, crimes related to IT technologies exceed 30%. Filippov emphasized that people have become dangerous to others.
A representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs recalled that fraudsters often deceive pensioners. They force them to transfer money and rewrite their property to front men.
