Saves many lives: ERA-GLONASS transmitted 400 thousand accident reports from motorists

Data is transmitted in 19 seconds

The ERA-GLONASS State Information System has transmitted 400 thousand emergency messages to emergency services. This was reported by the press service of JSC ERA-GLONASS.

ERA-GLONASS works with all "Systems-112". It takes an average of 19 seconds to transmit data to emergency services.

The State Information System contributes to compliance with the "golden hour" rule in disaster medicine: assistance provided within the first 60 minutes after an accident significantly increases the chances of saving the lives of injured people and minimizes the development of dangerous complications from injuries.
Alexey Raikevich, General Director of JSC GLONASS

It is worth noting that 11.4 million cars are already connected to the ERA-GLONASS system. This year, their number increased by 1.2 million cars. The service allows you to increase the level of safety of drivers on the roads and makes it possible to quickly transmit data to rescue services.

The SOS button is used not only by road accident participants, but also by passing witnesses of accidents - for example, it is noted that 4% of calls are from eyewitnesses.

Earlier www1.ru reported that GLONASS developed a technology for quickly determining the location for smartphones.
