We decided to create the GLONASS design bureau precisely to be more active in new developments. We had a similar division before, but now we are expanding it.
The first solution from the GLONASS Design Bureau is a satellite tracker for monitoring UAVs, small vessels, and commercial vehicles.
By the end of 2023, JSC GLONASS will release a working prototype of a tracker that will allow receiving data from moving objects via Russian satellite channels in real-time throughout Russia and outside cellular coverage areas. The use of a unique communication technology significantly reduces the size of the satellite subscriber terminal to 200 grams.
The top manager believes that the use of Russian communication channels will reduce the cost of such a service by three times compared to foreign counterparts from companies that have left the Russian market.
