In the coming weeks, Russia will launch a promising multi-purpose 1st rank frigate "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Isakov" of Project 22350, "Admiral Gorshkov" class. Military expert Evgeny Damantsev spoke about the undeniable advantages of the warship.
He noted that "Admiral Isakov" is equipped with a promising combat information and control system (BIUS) "Sigma-22350", which collects all data from the in-hull active-passive sonar system "Zarya-3", the towed low-frequency sonar system "Vintetka-EM", as well as the radar complexes "Furke-4", "Puma", "Monolit" and "Poliment" into a single information field.
Thanks to "Sigma", operators in a complex multi-sphere mode receive information about the surface, underwater, and air tactical situation.
Based on this data, target allocation of priority targets can be carried out, and then they can be engaged with 91R1 anti-submarine guided missiles, 3M22 Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles, 3M55 Onyx supersonic high-maneuverable tactical missiles, and 3M14T Kalibr-NK cruise missiles.
Interception of highly maneuverable ballistic and aerodynamic targets with a very small effective reflecting surface can be performed by the 9M96DM anti-aircraft guided missile as part of the Redut naval anti-aircraft missile system, using target designation from the 16-channel Poliment X-band radar.
Currently, three frigates of Project 22350 have been transferred to the Navy, all built by the "Severnaya Verf". The ships are carriers of "Kalibr-NK" and "Onyx" missiles. The frigate "Admiral Gorshkov" participated in the tests of "Zircon" hypersonic missiles.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia has developed a new portable drone fighter. The new product is equipped with machine vision, is able to independently recognize the target and home in on it.
