Sea Storm with "Zircons", "Calibers", and "Onyxes": The Boundless Capabilities of the Frigate "Admiral Isakov"

In the coming weeks, Russia will launch the promising multi-purpose 1st rank frigate "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Isakov" of Project 22350, the "Admiral Gorshkov" class. Military expert Evgeny Damantsev spoke about the undeniable advantages of the warship.

He noted that the "Admiral Isakov" is equipped with the advanced combat information and control system (BIUS) "Sigma-22350", which collects all data into a single information field from the hull-mounted active-passive sonar system "Zarya-3", the towed low-frequency sonar system "Vintetka-EM", as well as the radar complexes "Furke-4", "Puma", "Monolit", and "Poliment".

Thanks to "Sigma", operators receive information about the surface, underwater, and air tactical situation in a comprehensive multi-sphere mode.

Interception of highly maneuverable ballistic and aerodynamic targets with a very small effective reflecting surface can be performed by the 9M96DM anti-aircraft guided missile as part of the ammunition load of the "Redut" naval anti-aircraft missile system, based on target designation from the 16-channel X-band radar "Poliment".

Currently, three frigates ofProject 22350 have been transferred to the Navy, all built by the "Northern Shipyard". The ships are carriers of "Caliber-NK" and "Onyx" missiles. The frigate "Admiral Gorshkov" participated in the tests of "Zircon" hypersonic missiles.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia hasdeveloped a new portable drone fighter. The new product is equipped with machine vision, is capable of independently recognizing the target and homing in on it.
