В Калининграде заложен новый ремонтный плавучий док «Капитан Анатолий Ермолаев»

It will be able to launch vessels weighing up to 12 thousand tons

The "Captain Anatoly Yermolaev" lifting and launching floating repair dock is being built according to Project 17692, developed by CMKB "Almaz". It will operate at the "Yantar" Baltic Shipbuilding Plant of USC. Prior to this, "Yantar" had only one floating dock for launching ships and vessels from horizontal slipways and lifting them out of the water for repairs: the "Baltika" floating dock, launched in 1972, Project 1769 CMKB "Almaz".

Thanks to the new floating dock, capable of launching vessels weighing up to 12 thousand tons, the "Yantar" plant will be able to work with larger ships and vessels, which will significantly expand its production capabilities. In addition to "Yantar", the docking program is being implemented at 15 more enterprises of the corporation. For example, in July of this year, a new floating transport dock of Project 17574 "Amur" was laid down at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant. Construction of a floating dock for the Arkhangelsk branch of CS "Zvezdochka" - the "Krasnaya Kuznitsa" ship repair plant - has also begun.
Sergey Lyashenko, Deputy General Director of JSC "USC"

The USC program projects for the construction of new and reconstruction of existing dry docks and hydraulic structures of enterprises are being implemented according to the scheme of advanced financing. The program is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
