Demand for mining equipment tripled in Russia

Adoption of specialized law raised demand for equipment

Following the adoption of the specialized law on mining on August 8, Russia has seen a significant increase in interest in this area. The new law established clear rules for mining digital currencies and attracted major players with large investments to the market.

According to the Association of Industrial Mining, BitRiver and Chilkoot companies, demand for mining equipment has increased significantly. Before legalization, Chilkoot received 150 to 200 requests per month, but after the adoption of the law, the number of requests increased almost threefold.

The law закрепляет the concepts of "digital currency mining", "mining pool" and "mining infrastructure operator". It also introduced a ban on advertising and offering digital currency and related goods and services to an unlimited number of people. In addition, a register of persons engaged in digital currency mining is being created. These changes have made the market more transparent and attractive to investors and companies.
