At the MIMS-2024 exhibition, TVEL division of Rosatom State Corporation presented a new electric drive specially developed for the Atom electric vehicle. This electric drive combines an electric motor, gearbox, and inverter in one unit, making it a key component for modern electric vehicles.
Journalist Maxim Kadakov noted that this electric drive was first shown at the exhibition a year ago as a prototype, but now it is ready for mass production, and all the necessary design documentation has already been prepared.
It is likely that the production of the electric drive will be organized at the "AmperMagnet" enterprise, which is already engaged in the production of similar devices, including motor-wheels and motor-generators for KamAZ. The electric drive has a peak power of 150 kW and a continuous power of 72 kW with an efficiency of about 94%. However, most of the device's components are imported, including elements from China, such as surface mounting on boards and helical gears.
