In 2023, the number of new IT companies registering their own developments in the unified register of domestic software decreased by almost 70%, but the number of new solutions increased by more than 30%. This is evidenced by data from an IBS study.
This year, 116 companies added their solutions to the registry, which is significantly less compared to the 348 companies registered in 2022 — a record figure since 2016. At the same time, the total number of registrations of new IT companies as legal entities in 2023 decreased by less than 1% compared to the previous year.
Despite this, the number of new products increased: in 2023, 4528 new solutions were registered, which is 31% more than in 2022, and almost six times more than in 2019.
At the end of 2023, the registry includes 6932 companies and 18459 products. Thus, on average, one IT company has three registered products.
The leaders in terms of the number of registered products are information systems for industry-specific tasks, monitoring and management tools, as well as multimedia software.
The least represented in the registry are utilities and drivers, spelling software, field service management, programs for production interfaces, quantum technology-based development tools, mobile platforms, and development environments.
