GLONASS has created the first Russian A-GLONASS (A-GNSS) technology. It speeds up location detection for smartphones.
The new development is an alternative to the foreign aGPS. It makes it possible to speed up the time it takes to determine the location of a device in urban environments, where dense buildings interfere with the reception of satellite signals.
A-GLONASS, from the point of view of ground-based navigation, eliminates Russia's dependence on foreign technologies and equipment, on disabling or artificially restricting the operation of such solutions. The development of JSC "GLONASS" will give impetus to the production of domestic navigation equipment, which will provide users throughout the country with advanced software in the areas of location determination and protection against signal substitution.
A-GLONASS finds the location of the device within 2-3 minutes. The technology is more effective than foreign analogues - it does not transmit data about the location of the mobile device to the servers of foreign companies. This increases user security.
Earlier www1.ru reported that ERA-GLONASS will open up the possibility of widespread use of drones in the Kaluga region.
