Russian military personnel began to use the high-explosive incendiary aerial bomb OFZAB-500 with a universal planning and correction module. This is another Russian high-powered ammunition that has adopted the UMPC.
The bomb combines the advantages of a thermobaric and high-explosive fragmentation munition. The main part of the charge is a combustible mixture sprayed during detonation.
For this reason, OFZAB is particularly effective against lightly armored vehicles and entrenched enemy forces, as well as fuel and lubricant depots and other targets.
