The launch vehicle, along with the space freighter, is transported to the launch site a few days before the launch. It is delivered there and vertically installed on the launch pad.
This time, 2621 kg of cargo are being sent to the ISS: equipment, fuel, nitrogen, clothing, water, and food for the crew. Also, Progress MS-28 is carrying payloads for the "Aseptic", "Biodegradation", "Virtual", "Endurance", "Lazma", "Neuroimmunity", and "Photobioreactor" experiments.
Among the new equipment for the cosmonauts is a SPIN-X1-MVN X-ray spectrometer for a new three-year experiment related to covering almost the entire celestial sphere.
The rocket's verticalization was successful, and it awaits final pre-launch checks. The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a rocket is scheduled for August 15 at 06:20 Moscow time. The broadcast will be available on the Roscosmos state corporation's social networks.
