The state corporation presented a fundamentally new unmanned aerial vehicle transport system for off-airfield basing, the S-76, at the Army-2024 forum. This is a vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
The development will allow delivering cargo weighing up to 300 kg over a distance of up to 500 km. The machine does not require airfield infrastructure or specially prepared sites. Take-off, flight along the route, and landing are performed fully automatically without direct operator involvement.
Currently, the project is at the stage of testing basic technical solutions and key technologies. In the future, it is planned to organize industrial production of products.
The state corporation noted that the S-76 project will allow deploying automated unmanned transport systems in Russia, which will make it possible to perform air cargo transportation much more economically and with minimal human involvement.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Russian Armed Forces began using a new type of missile to engage the enemy. They fly significantly further and are twice as accurate due to the built-in motor.
