AvtoVAZ continues to test the LADA Iskra in a hatchback body. The car was recently spotted in Pyatigorsk, and now details about the car's equipment have emerged. In particular, some interior elements of the test cars are assembled using workaround technologies.

There are no ready-made copies with the final, stock version of the interior yet, it all comes down to suppliers.

More interesting things: the car is equipped with 16-inch wheels, the car has heated rear seats, the steering wheel is multifunctional. It implements control of the media system and cruise control. The test car is equipped with air conditioning instead of climate control.

As a reminder, the Iskra is based on a reworked Renault-Nissan platform, which was supposed to become the basis for the third generation Logan. AvtoVAZ has invested heavily in its localization after the French company left the Russian market. Investments in the Iskra project amounted to 23 billion rubles, and total costs amounted to 37 billion rubles.

Mass production of Iskra should begin in the first half of 2025. Prices are unknown, but AvtoVAZ head Maxim Sokolov emphasized that the cost of the car, if its sales had started this year, would be from 1 million rubles to 1.2 million rubles.
