Доступ запрещён: Минобороны России впервые проведёт форум «Армия» за закрытыми дверями

In 2024, free access to expositions and all entertainment events in military districts, at Kubinka airfield, and at Alabino training ground have been canceled

The change in the concept of the main military-technical exhibition of the last decade became known less than a week before its opening. This was reported to RBC by sources close to the organizers of the forum and the Ministry of Defense. There has been no denial of the information from the Ministry of Defense yet.

The "Army-2024" forum at the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center will be held from August 12 to 14, 2024. According to sources, it will focus only on military topics. This means that the forum will feature:

  • complete absence of free access to the forum's expositions and entertainment events;
  • only a business program;
  • an exhibition of weapons samples that have proven effective on the front lines;
  • an exhibition of products from the "people's defense industry," which may eventually become a permanent exposition;
  • a new target audience — heads and general designers of defense enterprises, military delegations from foreign countries, and specialists from the Ministry of Defense.

The main goals of the forum now are to consolidate the efforts of domestic developers and manufacturers of products for the defense industry, promote Russian weapons on foreign markets, and demonstrate new military solutions created over the past two years. Also, under the auspices of Rosoboronexport, a separate exposition of 242 units of export weapons and equipment has been formed for interested parties.
