The Ministry of Industry and Trade is considering the possibility of introducing additional points for the use of domestic LEDs to recognize end devices as Russian, Kommersant reports.
LED manufacturers such as GS Group, Rusid, and Clever are participating in the discussion. A representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that market participants should determine for which operations with LEDs additional points can be awarded.
The initiative to introduce additional points comes from LED manufacturers. Olga Grekova, Head of the Association of LED and Systems Based on Them Manufacturers (APSS), emphasized that this measure will help stimulate the use of domestic components. The decision will be aimed at supporting domestic production and reducing dependence on imports.
