1,000 Chinese Gearboxes Assembled at Sollers Plant

Currently, "screwdriver" assembly is in place

The "Sollers Transmission Production" enterprise, operating in the industrial park of the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant, has assembled 1,000 mechanical gearboxes from JAC. This was reported in the press service of Sollers.

Currently, the so-called "screwdriver" assembly is in place. Car kits are brought to the plant from China. In addition, the company is gradually localizing production. Operations for casting and machining aluminum crankcases have been established.

Note that domestic software is installed on the assembly line. Investments in the MCP production project amounted to 600 million rubles.

The plans include installing mechanical gearboxes on Atlant vans and Argo trucks. In the future, such a gearbox will be used for the UAZ Patriot car.

Recall that after the departure of European manufacturers from the domestic market, Sollers reoriented to Chinese technology. Trucks from China are assembled at the former plant in Yelabuga. The company will also restart the former Mazda plant in the Far East and the former Isuzu enterprise.
