Representatives of the capital's authorities want to ban the rental of electric scooters in mass event areas. This was announced by Moscow Deputy Mayor for Transport Maxim Liksutov.
According to Liksutov, bans may be introduced to solve socially important tasks. This has already been done in St. Petersburg during the SPIEF-2024.
I have heard that many cities use such a system. First of all, this is important when, for example, there are some big concerts, a large crowd of people, it is set up in such a way for many to do it automatically, just to avoid some situations.
It is worth noting that earlier in the capital, the possibility of riding personal mobility devices was already limited. The ban included the following streets: Bolshaya Nikitskaya, Malaya Bronnaya, Bolshaya Dmitrovka and Gazetny Lane. They were made pedestrian during the Eat. Walk. Breathe festival and the Summer in Moscow event.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia may create a police force to control electric scooter users.
