Space truck "Progress MS-28" tested with artificial "Sun"

Solar panels of "Progress MS-28" are in perfect order

Pre-flight checks of "Progress MS-28" continue at Baikonur. The truck's solar panels, which will operate for two days during its flight, have already been tested.

There is a special installation at the cosmodrome for testing solar panels: an artificial "Sun".

There are more than 100 lamps in a special stand, each with a power of about 500 watts. They simulate sunlight and the batteries start to generate electric current. In fact, checking their efficiency does not take much time - only a few minutes.
