Annoying factor removed: Odnoklassniki allows users to decline gifts

The feature has become available to all users of the social network

A new feature has been added to Odnoklassniki. Users are now allowed to refuse virtual gifts and limit the circle of givers, the social network's press service reported.

The innovation makes it possible to impose a complete or targeted ban on receiving gifts from all users or specifically selected individuals.

When attempting to send a gift to a user who has banned gift acceptance, the message "This user cannot be sent a gift" will appear.

The innovation will improve interaction between people and prevent unwanted communication.

Mass gift mailings, mostly from strangers, were an annoying factor for many, which stopped people from frequently visiting OK. Now we have tried to streamline gifting within the social network a bit, and we see that user activity is becoming more conscious, and the time they spend in OK is starting to grow.

The new option was tested for several months on different groups of users. As a result, the number of rejected gifts and the number of complaints about intrusiveness decreased by 20%. This contributed to the growth of activity in the social network.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the social network Odnoklassniki will increase the volume of its own show programs by 1.5 times in 2024.
