В Сети засветился прототип игровой консоли на российской ОС «Аврора»

Video game and software developers are working to implement the President's directive to organize the production of game consoles

Developer Alexey Gladkov published a video in his Telegram channel showcasing a prototype of a Russian portable gaming console based on the "Aurora" OS, running Doom 3. The base is the Indonesian console Advan x Play.

Gladkov explains that "it is too early to talk about mass production, meaning the manufacturing partner is simply exploring the possibility of creating consoles based on the "Aurora" OS."

The emergence of such a collaboration, in principle, is a step towards implementing President Vladimir Putin's January directive to the government to organize the production of stationary and portable game consoles. This directive also noted the need to create an operating system and a cloud system for delivering games and programs to users. The deadline for the directive was set for June 15, 2024.

Earlier it became known that in mid-July, a meeting was held in the government with representatives of the video game industry and software developers on this issue. According to the "Kommersant" publication, such giants as GSNanotech (part of GS Group), Rostelecom, VK holding, Red Soft, the APRIORI association (including VK Play, Astrum Entertainment, United Games), the Video Game Industry Development Organization, Fplus, Lesta Games, and electronics manufacturer Beshtau were invited to the department of the radio-electronic industry to discuss products.
