Russia has developed a 125-millimeter self-propelled artillery mount 2S25 Sprut-SD. This airborne anti-tank gun will become a scourge for the enemy in battle.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation clarified that the self-propelled gun is designed to combat mobile and stationary armored targets, destroy manpower and defensive structures of the enemy at any time of the day.
This combat vehicle was created for the Marine Corps and artillery units of the Airborne Forces. Its main task is to provide fire support in battle during rapid landing operations.
Thanks to the 125 mm gun, the Sprut-SD can fire all domestic ammunition. The self-propelled gun's arsenal, for example, includes anti-tank guided missiles and armor-piercing discarding sabot projectiles. The laser sighting system gives the ability to destroy targets at a distance of about 4 km.
