The corvette "Sovershenny" (Project 20380) of the Russian Pacific Fleet conducted joint exercises with warships of the People's Liberation Army Navy of China (PLAN) in the Philippine Sea. The crews of the ships inspected "suspicious" vessels. This was reported by the press service of the Eastern Military District for the Pacific Fleet.
Russian sailors operated with a Chinese detachment of warships, which included the destroyer "Yinchuan", the frigate "Hengshui", and the universal supply transport "Weishanhu". They practiced the algorithm of actions of inspection teams.
"Sovershenny" is a corvette with guided missile weapons, the first ship of Project 20380, built at PJSC "Amur Shipbuilding Plant". It is part of the 165th brigade of the Primorsky Flotilla of mixed forces of the Pacific Fleet.
