Aluminum pier systems of Russian production were presented in St. Petersburg at the conference "Piers of Russia 2024. Design, Construction, Reconstruction." Viktor Ivanenko, Head of Shipbuilding at the Aluminum Association, stated that all such pier infrastructure can be completely produced in Russia without the use of imported analogues.
With the development of domestic tourism, the issue of developing pier infrastructure is becoming increasingly important. Aluminum pier systems made in Russia are suitable for the construction of yacht ports, floating pedestrian bridges, private piers, water cafes, stopping points, as well as guest piers at hotels and restaurants.
Ivanenko noted that Russia has now established the production of various modifications of pier infrastructure based on modular systems made of aluminum alloys: for yacht marinas, embankment arrangements, free-standing piers, water transport stops, pontoons for arranging catering points, and so on. Such systems have all the necessary equipment. In particular, this is:
- cable routes;
- pier fingers;
- floats made of modern aluminum alloys;
- fasteners;
- mooring equipment;
- railing fences;
- rescue ladders.
All these Russian solutions comply with Russian and international standards developed for pier infrastructure. In addition, they have a sufficiently high environmental friendliness.
Piers made of aluminum alloys, which Ivanenko spoke about, can be seen in Russia at various water bodies for more than ten years. For example, this is the pier at the House of Government of the Moscow Region, the pier infrastructure of the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad, or the infrastructure of the Golden City Yacht Club in the Moscow Region.
