The Russian Aerospace Forces used modernized OFAB-250-270 high-explosive fragmentation aerial bombs with universal planning and correction modules from a Su-34NVO fighter on the front lines.
These projectiles received aerodynamic fairings to increase the planning range by reducing aerodynamic drag. The thicker physical dimension of the aerial bomb shells provides a higher high-explosive effect and fragmentation effect compared to standard FAB-250M-62.
OFAB-250-270 is effective in destroying military-industrial facilities, lightly armored and lightly vulnerable equipment, as well as enemy manpower.
