High-Precision Systems Holding, part of the Rostec State Corporation, has transferred a batch of PP-2000 submachine guns to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The weapons have been sent to military units, the corporation's press service reported.

The press service emphasized that the PP-2000, with its mass and dimensions comparable to similar combat pistols, allows for effective fire at ranges up to 200 m.

Full controllability of automatic fire, high accuracy and precision are ensured by the optimal rate of fire and good ergonomics. The PP-2000 is highly resilient.

The submachine gun can withstand firing over 400 rounds in a row. For such survivability, it was nicknamed Wolverine within the "Rostec Combat Monsters" project.

The new batch of PP-2000s was produced at the Tula Instrument Design Bureau. The weapon is designed for the 9x19 Parabellum cartridge.

Features of the PP-2000 submachine gun:

  • weight without magazine and stock — 1.4 kg
  • spare magazine can be used as a shoulder rest
  • bolt handle and magazine latch button can be placed on either side: for right-handed and left-handed users
  • PP-2000 length — 582 mm with the stock extended, 350 mm — without the stock
