Erotic images have begun to be blurred by default on the social network Odnoklassniki (OK). This was reported by the social network's press service.
Any images and GIFs with erotic undertones are now not visible in comments and news feeds. But if you want, you can see a blurred picture - just click on it.
OK engineers created two ML models (a machine learning algorithm). The first algorithm scanned the image and determined its content. The second sorted the content by type and then hid it or left it as it was.
Users helped evaluate which images they consider erotic and do not want to see. In total, more than 6 million files were processed to train the algorithm to automatically detect and blur erotic images.
Creating a comfortable environment for user interaction is one of OK's main priorities. Now, thanks to the help of our users and technology, people on OK will see even less unwanted content.
The restrictions did not affect photos of athletes, fine art and beach photos of people. Users can still complain about inappropriate content to the support service or in the social network interface.
Previously, the Odnoklassniki network also began to hide profanity. Now, instead of swear words, users see asterisks. Last year, OK launched an algorithm that restricts intrusive dating.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the social network Odnoklassniki will increase the volume of its own shows by 1.5 times in 2024.
