At the KAP facilities, the technical re-equipment of three workshops for production preparation, mechanical assembly production, and flight test base has been completed. This will help to significantly increase the production of medium-range Tu-214s and other Tupolev products.
The large-scale program for complete import substitution at Tupolev JSC has entered a new stage. For nine facilities, including workshops for aggregate and final assembly, compliance certificates have been obtained, as well as permits for commissioning. Currently, the construction readiness of the heat treatment and coating production is 86%.
Konstantin Timofeev, First Deputy General Director of UAC, Managing Director of Tupolev JSC, noted that Tupolev is increasing future production capacity "even slightly ahead of contracting".
The work at KAP is included in the state program for the development of the defense industry complex. Kazan GiproNIIaviaprom JSC named after B.I. Tikhomirov is carrying them out at 10 capital construction sites of the plant for an amount of about 30 billion rubles.
