Crimean paratroopers of the Novorossiysk mountain airborne unit organized a workshop where they 3D-print components for various types of ammunition. This ammunition is delivered by strike UAVs to the drop-off point on the front line, as reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The guardsmen use a 3D printer, which allows them to quickly provide the necessary parts to units using UAVs with drops and FPV drones.
What ammunition components are printed on a 3D printer:
- tail fins (for stabilizing ammunition during descent)
- ammunition body, the so-called "cup"
- nose cones (drop device)
- mounts (drop device)
