Specialists from the KBP branch, Central Design and Research Bureau of Sporting and Hunting Weapons (TsKIB SOO, part of the "High-Precision Systems" holding), are modernizing the 5.45 mm ADS special two-medium assault rifle for underwater and land shooting. The manufacturing processes of the assault rifle's parts and components will become more technological and less labor-intensive.
Features of the ADS Special Assault Rifle:
- land shooting with standard 5.45x39 mm cartridges
- underwater shooting with special PSP and PSP-UD cartridges
- standard 30-round AK magazine
- standard 40-mm under-barrel grenade launcher
- Picatinny rail
- new silencer design with lower weight
