Specialists from the KBP branch, Central Design and Research Bureau of Sporting and Hunting Weapons (TsKIB SOO, part of the "High-Precision Systems" holding), are modernizing the ADS 5.45 mm special two-medium assault rifle for underwater and land shooting. This was reported by Rostec's press service.
The manufacturing processes for the rifle's parts and components will become more technologically advanced and less labor-intensive.
Features of the ADS special assault rifle:
- Land shooting with standard 5.45x39 mm cartridges
- Underwater shooting with special PSP and PSP-UD cartridges
- Standard 30-round AK magazine
- Standard 40-mm under-barrel grenade launcher
- Picatinny rail
- Newly designed silencer with reduced weight
