AvtoVAZ has begun supplying rings, valves and pistons for LADA Vesta engines from abroad. After that, the Ministry of Industry and Trade removed localization points from the model.
Thus, for "piston processing" and "use of Russian-made piston blanks" for the 8-valve VAZ-11182 engine, as well as "use of Russian-made rings", "ring processing", "finger processing" and "manufacturing of Russian-made finger blanks" for the 16-valve VAZ-21129 and VAZ-21179 engines, the model was not awarded localization points. Thus, these parts are supplied from abroad.
Information about this is indicated in the Conclusion on confirming the production of industrial products on Vesta dated March of this year. Note that in the same conclusion dated November 2021, localization points were awarded for such components.
Soon, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will have to further reduce the level of localization of Vesta. The fact is that VAZ employees began to install six-speed mechanics from a Chinese partner on cars. According to insiders, ten such cars have been produced so far.
