A high-speed elevator with domestic components has been developed in St. Petersburg. The development belongs to Meteor Lift. The production of domestic elevators is planned to be launched in two years. This was announced by Igor Mayorov, CEO of Meteor Lift, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2024).
The Meteor EVO NG (New Generation) elevator model has already passed testing. In a few years, all components in the device will be replaced with Russian ones.
Currently, the level of elevator localization is 80%, which is 5% more than the previous Meteor EVO model. In just two years, we plan to bring it closer to 100%.
The main difficulties arose with the import substitution of the frequency converter. Its serial production is scheduled to begin in 2026, and the design phase has been successfully completed.
It is worth noting that FSUE NAMI (the company that produces Aurus premium cars and motorcycles) has granted Meteor Lift the rights to use the Aurus Design trademark for elevators and elevator cars. The agreement was signed at SPIEF-2024.
