The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has completed the construction of the second passenger vessel of the PKS-180 project, "Aurum". The work was carried out at the "Lotos" production site of the Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center of USC.
The ship will be sent on a circular cruise route "Moscow Round-the-World" along the Volga and Oka rivers. After being launched, the ship went to Nizhny Novgorod for testing and equipping.
This is the second vessel of the project built by Astrakhan shipbuilders. The lead ship, "Golden Ring", made its first tourist voyage in 2023.
The PKS-180 project is a three-deck motor ship designed for 180 passengers. The shallow draft and flat-bottomed design of the vessels allows the ship to pass under bridges and enter medium and small rivers. Tourists have the opportunity to see the unique landscapes of Russia.
Passengers are offered comfortable cabins with jacuzzis and terraces, a children's club, a gym, a SPA-salon, bars, a restaurant and a solarium on the sun deck.
The width of the vessel is 13.83 meters, the length is 82.6 meters. The power of diesel generators is 3x315 kW, the drive of the paddle wheels is electromechanical. The autonomy in terms of fuel reserves is 14 days, the speed of economical running is 17 km/h.
Earlier www1.ru reported that in St. Petersburg, the border patrol ship of the second rank "Sakhalin" of project 22120 "Purga" was launched. The ship became the 11th built under the project.
