В России разработали новые сухогрузы-контейнеровозы «Беломорец»

Concepts of a large-capacity vessel are already being shown to potential customers

The Vympel Design Bureau, part of the USC, has developed the concept of a universal dry cargo container ship of project 00111 "Belomorets". The domestic container ship in two versions is already being shown to potential customers. It will be able to transport goods through the White Sea-Baltic Canal.

According to USC, both versions of the vessel are designed to transport containers, including refrigerated, oversized, long and heavy cargo, grain and other bulk cargo, timber and lumber, metal in bundles and rolls, as well as dangerous goods.

They have one super-long cargo hold with a length of 78.7 meters, the same length of 120 meters and a width of 13.4 meters. The bow superstructure and wheelhouse in both versions allow increasing the container capacity of the project to 244 TEU. However, they have differences in the "insides".

Project 00111A has a fullness coefficient of 0.88, it is equipped with a single-shaft propulsion system with a three-feather steering device, which "has proven itself positively in previously implemented projects".

Inside are domestic engines with a capacity of 1200 to 1600 kW. The dry cargo ship will be able to reach speeds of up to 11 knots. Its deadweight will be 2,800 tons on a draft of 3.6 meters in rivers and 5,050 tons on a draft at sea.

Project 00111B has an increased fullness coefficient of 0.93 and a twin-shaft power plant. It will be able to reach speeds of up to 10 knots. The deadweight of the dry cargo container ship in this case is also increased: 3250 tons on a draft of 3.6 meters in rivers and 5500 tons at sea.
