Halt, Who Goes There!?: New Smart Border Control Systems Presented at "Integrated Security" Exhibition

Devices are capable of detecting targets in thermal signature at a distance of up to 20 km

Automated complexes for visual fixation of targets on borders were presented at the "Integrated Security" exhibition, which takes place from May 29 to June 1 at the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Center in Kubinka (Moscow region). The project was created by "Videofon MV". This was reported by a representative of the development company.

The devices are used in the border regions of the country. The program outlines a perimeter that is forbidden to cross and identifies violators in the thermal signature (infrared energy shown by the thermal imager).

They allow you to see targets at a distance of up to 20 km in the thermal signature, in the visible range, there is a laser rangefinder - it is possible to determine the distance to the target.

A company representative said that the system operates in autonomous mode. In case of unauthorized border crossing, the violator is recorded by the camera, then the data is sent to the operator.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia is testing new digital portal inspection and examination complexes on the border with China.
