On the ISS, Roscosmos cosmonaut Nikolai Chub conducted the educational and demonstration space experiment "Dispersion" related to the exploration of the Moon.

According to the TASS news agency special correspondent, commander of the Roscosmos cosmonaut corps Oleg Kononenko, this scientific work had two objectives.

The main goal of the experiment is to demonstrate the processes of liquid phase separation in polymer-solvent systems and to study the behavior of liquid-phase dispersions under microgravity conditions. In addition, the objective of the experiment is to provide university students with practical skills in preparing a laboratory workshop on the physical chemistry of dispersed systems.

The results of the work will be used in the creation of materials and structural elements in the lunar program. Also, on this basis, it is possible to develop technological modes for obtaining and forming composite dispersed materials based on lunar soil.
