The Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) military-industrial holding will contribute to import substitution in aviation. Its specialists will manufacture a prototype torque lever for the aircraft. The customer is U-TG Engineering, which provides full-cycle ground handling of aircraft, the holding's press service reported.

The torque lever is a necessary part for aircraft. KMZ will manufacture it as part of import substitution, since it is not possible to order from a foreign supplier.
Fedor Korotky, project manager

According to Korotky, the part will be made by reverse engineering (inspection of the finished part, preparation of technical documentation and manufacture of the product). KMZ plans to establish the supply of spare parts for aircraft in the interests of U-TG Engineering.

The company has been operating in the aircraft maintenance market since 1998. Its specialists perform work at the capital's airports Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Pulkovo in St. Petersburg.
