Engineers from the Flight Test and Refinement Complex (LIiDK) of PJSC Yakovlev at the airfield in Zhukovsky have begun ground testing of all systems of the SJ-100 prototype with tail number 97021 as part of preparations for certification tests.
Yakovlev engineers checked the operation of individual elements of the landing gear struts, including extension and retraction. They will also test the aircraft's doors and hatches, cabin pressurization, and the availability of rapid evacuation.
Specialists will assess the correct operation of all onboard instruments and the indication in the cockpit of the SJ-100. During the tests, they will monitor the mobility of the ailerons, flaps, and other control surfaces of the aircraft.
LIiDK faces many tasks within the MC-21 and other projects. The gradual integration of our flight test complexes into a single entity is also of particular importance
The SJ-100 aircraft with tail number 97021 arrived in Zhukovsky from Komsomolsk-on-Amur in late April after completing refinement tests at the factory. To speed up certification, the aircraft was equipped with SaM146 engines of Franco-Russian design. At the same time, the key systems of the aircraft remained Russian.
