Microsoft has unblocked access to Windows and Office updates. Users can download new versions of the software without using a VPN, according to Valentin Makarov, president of the Russoft association.
Microsoft has also left cloud software products open to Russian IT companies, although it had planned to restrict access on March 20. All of this suggests that the American IT giant does not want to lose a major market.
Microsoft is looking for loopholes to stay in the Russian market, which is very important to them. Even if the company claims otherwise in its statements, in private conversations they guaranteed software support.
You can download software or install updates through the menu in Windows OS by clicking the "Install" button. Software downloads are also available from the download center on the official portal.
