A time capsule was laid in the foundation of the building of the VUC RUT (Military Training Center of the Russian University of Transport) in the north of Moscow. Plans for the reconstruction of the structure were announced back in August 2023. Its opening is scheduled for 2025.
Our time is difficult, but wonderful — a time of strengthening Russia's power. We believe that you, the people of the future, live in a happy world, and sacredly preserve enduring values: family, a sense of homeland, justice, warm memories of classmates and teachers. We want students — future defenders of the Fatherland — to always know that the full power of fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, maternal love and the boundless support of many generations stands behind them.
Among those present at the event were the rector of the Russian University of Transport Alexander Klimov, Deputy Minister of Transport Dmitry Bakanov and the head of the Main Directorate of Railway Troops of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Oleg Kosenkov, as well as students.
The reconstruction of the building for the Military Training Center of the RUT takes into account all the needs of students and teachers for effective and comfortable learning. The building will meet all the requirements for the implementation of military training programs. This building will be the first step towards creating the Obraztsovo multifunctional technological cluster, the largest scientific and educational center for the development of the country's transport industry.
The building is scheduled to be completed by 2025. To train students, 9 classrooms, 2 computer classes, a sports and assembly hall, as well as a dining room, a laser shooting range and a young army class will be created. Outside, according to the plan, there will be 6 sites for combined arms training "with a model of a rail-sleeper grid for assembling and disassembling railway tracks" and a parade ground for drill training. The area of the future building is 5 thousand m². It will be able to train more than 500 students.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian schoolchildren and students will be involved in work in space.
