The large freezer fishing trawler "Captain Vdovichenko" (project ST-192), built at the "Admiralty Shipyards" in St. Petersburg, took first place in Russia in terms of pollock catch. The vessel is operated by the Russian Fishery Company (RFC).
The top 10 also included the fishing vessels "Mechanic Maslak" and "Mechanic Sizov", built by St. Petersburg shipbuilders.
The management of "Admiralty Shipyards" signed a contract with RFC for the construction of 10 trawlers in 2017. They are used for fishing for pollock and Pacific herring. The fish is processed directly on board and stored until arrival at the port.
New fishing trawler of project ST-192
This is a high-tech, multifunctional vessel, the productivity of which is 2.5 times higher than that of previous generations of vessels. The super trawler can catch over 60 thousand tons of fish per year.
