The space monitoring system and drones are successfully used by rescue service employees to identify fire-hazardous situations. New surveillance tools helped to record fires in 74 regions of Russia. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Since the beginning of the year, the supervisory authorities of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations have conducted more than 25 thousand field surveys. In almost half of the cases, dry grass was burning. More than 3.5 thousand people have already been brought to administrative responsibility. Only a responsible approach by everyone to safety issues can improve the fire situation both in the natural environment and in everyday life.
Space monitoring makes it possible to transmit images from the satellite to authorized specialists. Then the information is processed and transmitted to the regional services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations using the mobile application «Thermal Points».
Drones also help to identify sources of ignition. Even from a height of 50 meters, a UAV is capable of transmitting information about the occurrence of smoke within a 12-kilometer radius.
