A new production space for the production of the frame of the 12-132 model gondola car has been opened in correctional colony (IK) No. 12 in Nizhny Tagil. The workshop will operate in the interests of the country's main tank assembly line "Uralvagonzavod" (UVZ).
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region said that the premises were designed specifically for a workshop for the production of wagon parts. The necessary equipment was installed here.
A special commission of Uralvagonzavod checked the readiness for serial production of gondola car frames. The workers conducted qualification tests, confirming their readiness for production.
The 12-132 gondola car is all-metal, four-axle. It is designed for the transportation of bulk, loose, stacked and piece goods on the railways of Russia and the CIS countries.
